Fuse size Question

i am powering a new 5v camera from a 12v box power supply with a drop down buck convertor at the camera end,i have tried the camera on a shorter cable and it works fine during the day but once it gets to night and the IR sensors and its external light come on it blows the fuse in the power box,
the individual fuse in the box is a 20mm glass 400ma fuse. is it possible (safe) for me to put a larger fuse in ,as the camera is rated at DC 5V2A Power Supply
Power Consumption ≤ 6W

Use a 1A fuse.

At 6W the unit will draw more than 500 mA from the 12V supply due to inefficiencies in the step down converter.

Use a fast blow. This application does not anticipate short, and normal exceedences of the rated current.
