I've removed a lens unit, (including imager) from a compact digital sony camera. As you can imagine it connects via an impossibly small FPC type arrangement. I make it to be a 30 way cable, flexible printed type with that weird transparent brown colour.
Boiling my need down to it's most essential part, how much / what info do I need to prepare an 'extension cable' for this FPC? A cable mounted version of the same connector with a suitable FPC in between would be ideal, only looking for 80-100mm or so. It's not necessary that the solution is as compact as the original, I can live with something bulkier. I saw like a test connector on amazon and thought it might suit? CLICKY
