Flourescent light issue

My duel bathroom flourescent light starts to come on but stops on dim until I lightly touch a bulb, then it fully lights up. What may be the problem?

You mentioned the bulb stops on dim meaning it stays dim.
When you lightly touch a bulb, it fully lights up. Try tighten the bulb connection, could be
something loose.

Yes, it sounds like the socket may have a problem, or the bulb is not screwed-in all the way.

Is it the older type with a starter unit?
If so these fail after a few years due to contact failure.
