BTW, if your boards are as simple as you say, once I had the schematic in
PADS with parts already in my library, it would probably take no more than
an hour to layout and route.

plus 2 cents for drilling.
There is a first time photo charge of $6.00 for orders of single sided, and
$9.00 for double sided, for making the film.
Plated thru holes, silk screening, and solder masking are not available.
Material is FR4 glass epoxy, 1/16, oz copper, electroless tin plated.
Limit trace width and spacing to .020
Send a drill guide along with the artwork.

Glad I'm not the only one. The other day someone actually used AG
rather than spelling out Attorney General.

Doesn't sound too bad except for the 20 mil trace and space limitation.
I can't remember the last time I did a board that used 20 mil traces.
For many of the parts I use that is the pin pitch! I guess this is ok
for DIP technology.

What are you talking about "There are many out there that accept
gerbers"? Did you mean there aren't many out there that DON'T accept
Gerbers? Everyone accepts Gerber files.
Or are you saying they don't give you the same rate if you don't use
their software? In that case, they can take a hike! I'm not laying out
the same board twice if I don't want to stay with them or make revs
before going to someone else for production.
