FAIRCHILD 5Q1265RF J14 POWER SWITCH

Hi
Guys
wonder if any of you have dealt or used the following component as it the first time i have taken out a 5 pin power switch F5Q1265RF and wondered if any body can put me onto a data sheet or how to test , taken out of board as it has signs of damage along with a thermistor !!!

thanks

Never tested one of these 5Q1265RF Power switches by fairchild could anybody please give instructions on how to test? i would presume the test would be as a transistor for pins 1,2,3 but what about pin 4 and 5 , the pins are labelled as follows
1-Drain
2-gnd
3- vcc
4-feedback
5-sync

my own presumption would be i would have to build a simple circuit to test pins 4 & 5 or am i completely wrong ?
cheers for any help

I would start by testing that there is no conductivity between drain and ground (source) when the input is off, and there is a low resistance path when it's on.

The datasheet will give you more information including graphs of typical performance that you may be able to test.

The most reliable test is to determine if it works or not in the circuit it's in. If it's getting the right inputs but not producing the right outputs then you have more of an idea what might be wrong.

Replacement may be a faster test than actually trying to validate its performance.

Thanks steve !! my thoughts too with ...

but from a educational point it was why i fired the question to the forum as it was the first one i have had to look at so some thing gained form it at least as i 100 % sure it was fried due to damage , scorch marks etc !!!! but thanks for the input !!
