extended and doubling switch buttons

i have a aftermarket car stereo, and i also managed to source a OEM style control unit that sits on the center console that has main buttons like next track etc. I want to open up the stereo and be able to tap into the buttons and use those buttons as extensions to the control unit. just wondering, is it usually just a matter of soldering the 2 pins of the switches and how would having 2 switches wired like that work?

You can parallel two switches together Should not be a problem If I got it correctly you want to do
