Hi all ...

I need help with this high powered LED im buying, the data sheet is on this site aswel.

Basicaly could some one please recommend a driver or resistor I need to run this LED, i was going to power it by just using a 12v adaptor.

I did speak in online chat to a guy from the site he recommended this driver.

http://uk.farnell.com/xp-power/ldu2430s1000/dc-dc-led-driver-constant-i-1000ma/dp/1738296

But as you can see the LED is £15 to buy so i want to make sure I get it all right.

any help would be great guys.

With that driver you do not need a series resistor.

But you do know that you need to heatsink the LED, right?

Hi Steve.

Thanks for the reply.

So your saying the driver I listed is the correct one for the LED. I hope it is because I have already purchased it.

Do you know what heatsink I should be looking to buy to use with the LED . . . be very greatful if you could point us in the right direction.

Check the datasheet for the LED, it should tell you what you need.
