draw a constant current from a lead acid battery

I supposed to draw a constant current from a lead acid 12v car battery.
i need a help to implement a circuit for that.

may be this one help you rather than your circuit.
in your circuit load is the transistor.
so when it is biased definitely it will go into saturation region,

that circuit of yours isn't going to work, its just going to short circuit the 12V battery and the transistor
when current is applied to the base of the transistor to put it into conduction
 
If this is an assignment then this may not help but I have found off-the-shelf constant current sources mostly reliable and quite time saving. Also I often use the net with a call similar to, "Images constant current source. " Many images are inaccurate and not much more than a block diagram but quality designs can be found.
