I've been toying with the idea of turning a modern dentist chair into
a computer workstation. But expensive...
Sports car seats from the scrap yard are cheaper but lack leg support.

Add an ajustable foot rest to the base you mount it on. Don't foget
the cup holders and armrests, too.

At first glance, it looks overly stylized.
Often I find overly stylized products tradeoff function.

However, the drivers seat idea seems modern.
In tv days, one just passively sat on the couch and watched.
The couch potato.
Nowadays, the mouse potato interacts and uses controls and it's an
interaction like driving a car.
Monitor>>>windshield
Steering wheel>>>mouse and keyboard

School house furniture is designed to functional, durable, and
inexpensive. Comfort is a side issue there.
Reasonable ergonomics is a user owned workstation is different, i
think.
