Also, none of the pictures gave me a good enough view of the one 8 pin IC on the large board to be able to identify it. I am going with an educated guess that it is probably a 4558 dual op amp.
Am I correct ?

I believe that your pictures confirmed that 8 pin IC as being a 4558 E . . . . . as I had guessed.

I looked for similar transistor around home and didnt find anything. I guess i will need to order some from Amazon or eBay
