Convert Old Wireless Speakers into Bluetooth Wireless Speakers

I have many old wireless speakers that work on radio frequency. The speakers I have are the iLive 809B. The bloothtooth receiver board I bought on eBay is KRC-86B V4.0.

Has anyone attempted this? I am looking for feedback from anyone that has taken old wireless speakers and converted them to wireless bluetooth versions. Any tips to help me out are much appreciated

Thanks...
Chris

If you can identify the audio amplification part of the existing speaker system then all you have to do is wire in the bluetooth module audio output to the input of that amp.

If the wi-fi and amp are an integral board it may just be easier to fit a new amplifier module along with the bluetooth board.

Some pictures of the internals would help us advise more specifically.

I just uploaded images of:
- old radio rx. board.
- the new KRC-86B V4.0.

kellys_eye thanks for the reply.

I was thinking the same of putting a new amp in but then the volume controls power button etc. Might also need adapted, causing further trouble.

I also thought do I leave the FM RX module in place and add the Bluetooth to that so they share the same connections to the amp? Would this allow the pair to reconnect as they do using the FM frequency module?

I have upload some pix of the two boards and can send more if needed.

Thanks
Chris

Additional pix:

The rest of the connections is with a ribbon cable to the front of the rx board
