Please add some detail to your question so we are able to understand better. For example a figure showing the signal you're talking about and where or how it is used.

The "meaning" of any kind of signal (DC, AC, ...) depends strongly on the application. A DC voltage overlaid on an AC voltage my be a sign of a disturbance. It may, however, also be used to transport power (DC) and a communication signal (AC) simultaneously over one and the same wire.
