Circuit/Schematic Simulation Software

Good day everyone! Can anyone suggest the best circuit simulation software that enables its user to simulate and test whether his circuit design works. I am just a beginner in circuit design and I really want to test my design before buying its components, thus saving time and money.

like steve said, there is no best. i have done my first steps with the freeware of cadsoft eagle. never had any problems. just my opinion.
