Change current output of PSU

Hi, i found a circuit that is easy to make but i want to modify it a bit...
The circuit is based on L200 voltage and current regulator.
So, like this i can get maximum 2A current in output...
How can i get 5A output? What do i have to modify??

Pretty much everything. You need a larger transformer. Higher current diodes. A larger filter capacitor and a different circuit or a different regulator IC. Perhaps this will help if you want to keep the L200:

mmm and do you know any similar regulator IC?

Not offhand. There are 5A regulators out there though. Not sure they have adjustable current limit, but there is sometimes a circuit in the datasheet to do it externally.

to allow a regulator to pass more current you would typically use a pass transistor (or 2, 3, 4 etc)
