CFL Cleanup

V

Victor Roberts

ENERGY STAR has published a new CFL Fact Sheet, that
includes expanded and modified guidelines for cleaning up
broken fluorescent lamps, including, of course, broken CFLs.
See www.energystar.gov/cflsandmercury

I believe the most significant change is that they no longer
recommend that you must cut out and remove any piece of
carpet that contains parts of a broken fluorescent lamp.
(This recommendation was not on the old CFL Fact Sheet, but
was listed in the more detailed instructions on the EPA's
mercury web site.)

www.cflfacts.com has been updated to point to the new CFL
Fact Sheet.
