Car satnav screen component identification

The screen in my car which displays satnav, heater controls and radio info stopped working with a burning smell. Stripped it down and right away found the component which had slightly scorched the pcb. It looks like a very small transistor. Markings on it are B1203 across the middle. What looks to be an S in the bottom left and M4 in the bottom right. Struggling to find any info or replacement parts online. Can add photos when I get in from work if needs be.

Hi, thanks for the reply, iv finally managed to find the time to get pictures.
I thought it was the component in the first picture that had gone but a sparky at work thinks it might be the component in the second picture which is the B1203. There is no markings on the component in the second pic from what i can see with the naked eye.
Is there anyway to test these 2 components?
