Beta and VHS repairs

Welcome to the forum. There is more than one Sunshine Coast. There is one in Australia, another in Canada and maybe more. Where are you?

Yes, sorry, Queensland, Australia..

Probably no one unless you can round up an old techie somewhere willing to help.
Most have closed their doors yonks ago, not worth the effort anymore.
Sunshine Coast would I imagine be full of cafe latte sipping hiso's these days anyhow.

When I did repairs, I found the bulk of VCR problems were dirty tape heads and/or worn belts. Search google "how to clean VCR heads" and you'll find videos showing how to clean them.

I would buy an assortment of video recorder belts, since a bad or broken belt is a common failure in VCRs.
Several assortments are available on Amazon.
