Surely there must be *some* restrictions!
Some little details, sure. For instance, no guns in the state-
house, courts, schools, unless provided for by same (e.g. schools
can have shooting clubs; though given the NEA - fat chance). Gun
possession proscribed only for minors, felons, and other
*individuals* who the courts have decided cannot own firearms
(there is some iffy constitutional ground here).
Carrying a loaded rifle in your car isn't cool (jacking deer is
most un-cool), however carrying a loaded handgun on your person
is perfectly fine, though many prefer not to see it. Indeed
there aren't any permits required, and none offered for handguns.
Any person of the age of majority (baring the felon issue) can
legally buy, and carry a handgun, either concealed or in plain
sight. At worst, buying a handgun amounts to filling out the
federal paperwork, paying the money, and waiting five minutes for
the background check (I've done it in less than five minutes).
Even visitors to the state are allowed the freedom of the second
amendment. Indeed many NewYawkus go out of their way to go
around Taxa2shits from NY, through VT, to NH for sporting events,
so they don't end up in jail for carrying a bunch of metal (even
dismantled weapons).
