New guy here. Background, I know essentially nothing about electronics. I acquired a clock that uses what they call a flux motor. My google sense tells me it's an axial motor, 1.5 volts. I got it running, but it runs way fast. I bought two of these from an estate sale. My guess is some old guy like me was trying to make them work. There is a resistor, the one in there is 500ohm. My question is if I increase the resistance, will it slow the motor down? Everything in the movement looks correct, so all I can think of is the motor is running fast. Thanks.
