AT89S52 vs ATmega644

Hi again guys.
I'm there, and i want to build a basic "uzebox" but i get the wrong micro controller i think.
I get a AT89S52 and the Uzebox use a ATmega644, and i read somethings in web and i found something saying that AT89S52 haven't eeproom space and have a lowest RAM than ATmega644.

Have some chance to get it right with same micro processor that i have now?

What is the full diference.

The AT89S52 uses the 8051 architecture; the ATMeega644 uses the AVR architecture. They're fundamentally different and not code-compatible.

What's a uzebox?

If it requires, or was designed with the Atmel hardware in mind, or needs to run specific software, then probably "No".

It's a bit like buying potatoes instead of apples and asking if you can still make apple pie.
