Amplifer improvement advice please

Hi And thanks for reading.

I have just put together my very first amp and would love some feedback on the circuit. The sound quality is disappointing, works ok, is there anything you can think of to improve performance. Thanks!

Hello,

I see that you have made changes to the origenal schematic.
Can you post the origenal schematic?
It looks like that this is the origenal circuit:
https://hackaday.io/project/173235-2sa1943-silicon-pnp-power-transistor-utsource
It can be that the biasing is not correct and causing distortion.
Adding feedback might improve the circuit.
Here is an example of an amplifier with feedback:

Don't expect much power from the amplifier.

The following page shows some 12 Volts power amplifiers:

Thanks for the replies, much appreciated.
Yes, it is the hackaday project that you provided the link to, i adjusted it slightly by changing the orentation of the diodes It sounds a little better now.
Can you please write on the circuit diagram any modification you can think of that could be applied to improve the sound quality. I want to download the diagram and have it before me as i work on the amp. I am an amateur and want to use the amplifier project to learn and experiment from.
Many thanks.
