Hi, offering an Atomic Force Microscope (AFM) System for sale, manufactured by Ambios Technology (previously known as Quesant). It includes all the components and software required to operate this system, as well as many accessories and extra probes. This AFM system was previously used by a manufacturer of precision oscillators, and was purchased new for $80,000+ USD in 2007.

This AFM System comes with the following:
  • AFM Microscope with Scanning Head, Top-view Video Camera, and Motorized X-Y Sample Stage
  • Electronic Interface Unit
  • Ambios Isochamber – provides instrument isolation from build vibrations, thermal drift, and 30db of acoustic isolation
  • Dell OptiPlex 745 Computer Tower with following software installed:
    • Ambios ScanAtomic V.5.0.0
    • Ambios Q-Port V.1.00.0
    • Quesant ScanAtomic V.4.05.8
  • All cables and connectors required to operate the system
  • Cantilevers/Probes: 40+ Non-contact Silicon Cantilevers, 20+ Contact Silicon Cantilevers

Wow! Whut a bargain! My previous employer bought an AFM that more or less replaced a TEM that was obsolete and almost impossible to maintain. They installed the AFM in a locked room and I wasn't allowed to touch it, not that I wanted to get involved with it anyway. Anything that complicated and expensive should be maintained by factory-trained and authorized repair personnel, so as to keep finger pointing at a minimum when something goes wrong.
