6x Interlocking latched PCB mounted DPDT push button switches required

Dear All,
I am looking for a bank of 6 interlocking latching PCB mounted
DPDT push button switches to repair a 20 year old TV (Sony KV2000 mark
II). These are for the channel change push button assembly -- ie. on
pressing one button any others previously pressed-in pop out. The pin
pitch of the switches seems unusual. It is 4.0mm as best as I can measure
it. I have searched the web but without success. Does anybody know where
I might get the parts for such a switch assembly?

Many thanks
Tom Crane.

I think you need to be thinking along the lines of either scrapping the TV
or making your own substitute with toggle switches . Things like this
are/were often custom made, just for that model (or series).

Your best chance is if anyone has the channel selector board from this
or a similar model. If you have two banks of the switches, with care and
a delicate touch with small mechanical assemblies you should be able to
rebuild one working set. What damage has there been to the original
set? They *may* be fixable.

Thanks for the followups.

I was afraid this might be the case.

The interlocking mechanism is driven by a bar which runs horizontally
underneath the switches. I've not yet striped it down completely but
the bar has six tiny vertically mounted posts which reach up into the
switches to give the interlocking action. Some of these posts appear
to be damaged.

Regards
Tom.

20 years old I am surprised that the CRT is still effective. Personaly I would get rid of it like I got rid of my heavy buky CRT TV tubes. they were working mind just not worth to keep them. But it is your TV and your money and your call.
