20 Watt LED Dimmer Circuit diagram

Even with a 555pwm setup, this won't work with 12v

He's using 20 one watt LEDS, that's quite a foward drop, you'd need to supply a higher voltage and then regulate the current..

Keeping in mind 555's get temperemental over 12v (the Chinese clones are lucky to work over 10v)

Getting info from the OP has been like pulling a T bone steak out of the mouth of a hungry Pit Bull but I think we do know that he understands a series - parallel array must be used. As for the Chinese clone issue,... I wouldn't know. In the far past I've used many 555's @ 15V with no issues.

Colin has supplied you with a perfect pcb design..
If you ask him nicely, he might show you the other side!!
If you do speak to Colin, you could ask him why it has 16 pins! 2x1, 2x2, 2x3, 2x4 etc...:)

Simple pulse width modulation will flash the leds on and off. If this is done fast enough, the human eye averages the light.
What does your shark think? Will he have a migraine or a seizure?

I suggest you read through the whole thread, make a list of the questions you have been asked, then answer each one carefully. Without those answers any circuit design we come up with would be unlikely to work properly. If you don't know the answer, say so. At least provide a link to the source of the LEDs where tech specs are available.
