12-0-12v, 230v, 1000watt inverter

Please I need help is there anything like 1000watt inverter?
Because, going by the post I saw on this forum. Which says. To calculate for current at the secondary winding we use
is=watt/volt = 1000w/12v = 83.3amps.
I think this value is too high. Bcus Wen using this value to calculate for core area CA=1.152√24*83.3=51.51. Please I need help for 1000watt inverter calculations . How do I get the turns per volt for this design. Am using 8 irfp250n mosfet for the circuit

83A is the right figure..... generally, when going to higher inverter wattage, you go to higher primary voltages too - in this case going to 24V would half the primary current.

If you look at ordinary UPS devices you will find they use 24/48V depending on their wattage. Using an old UPS for the basic ingredients of an inverter isn't a bad idea actually - I have cannabalised an old 700W UPS to run my workshop during power outages and another to run our TV/internet/laptop and LED lighting in the house.

You can often find old UPS devices free of charge - they most often cost more to post than they're worth anyway.

UPS devices aren't meant for continuous operation though so if you decide to go this route then use a 2kW (1.5kW) version for a maximum 1kW output and under-run it or add cooling to keep it from overheating.
