Hello
Just trying to figure out what I can do with our dryer as the turning mechanism is spontaneous,
sometimes turning sometimes not.
Generally to start the process I turn the drum by hand 4-5 times & generally the drum will start
spinning.
Very frustrating and with no over loading quite strange

Sounds like the motor needs new brushes.

Carbon brushes for the commutator that is.... Most are easily replaced and googling the model and 'spares' should result in some local supplier.
