Hello,

We just completed home remodeling, so had to move our 8 year ol
SONY XBR unit around. When we finally put it back in its place i
worked fine for several days, but then we noticed yellow/blue "ghosts
around images in left part of the screen. This unit is 7 years old an
never gave us any trouble.

Has anyone came accross of this issue and what is involved in th
repair effort. We were thinking about upgrading to HD unit, but if th
repair cost not high we might keep our beloved XBR set for anothe
year.

Is this repair DYI?

Thank you al

Possibly convergence, and possibly not related to it being moved.

Probably not, although JVC a number of years ago began allowing full
convergence adjustment information for the customer...did a few of
them after the customers got hopelessly lost trying to adjust it.

Probably not more than a couple hundred bucks if it's just a problem
with the convergence board, the only way to know for sure is to have a
tech look at it and give you an estimate.
