I work on a line of '70 HP counters that use a combination of normal
74 series TTL ICs, a few HP proprietary ICs, and an occasional odd
duck. The one I'm looking at right now has something called an 85L51,
which I can't even find records on, even though I have databooks back
into the '70s.
Can anyone offer me a clue as to what it is and how I might find
replacements for it? I'd be happy to buy a small stock of
replacements, or come up with a more modern equivalent. HP lists it as
a 4 bit latch, but I find reference to it as a quad D-type Flip Flop.
Just a data sheet would be a big help.
thanks,
