Wireless Remote Receiver Trouble

Hello,

I'm having trouble with the range of my eMylo DC 6V Remote Control Relay.

I am using it to remotely activate a small airsoft gun. The gun runs on 4 AA batteries and the receiver requires 6V. I can remotely activate the system from 100+ feet away but to deactivate it I must hold the control right next to the receiver. Is the gun drawing too much power and decreasing the range?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

The receiver is said to work down to 5 V. If you use rechargeable batteries, however, these may run down to 4.8 V only when loaded. That may not be enough for the receiver, as observed by you.
What happens when you use alkaline batteries? If that works it is an indication of the above assumption being right. Consider using separate batteries for the receiver, then.

Ok, ill try new batteries. I was using Rayovac Fusion, but I'll switch to Energizer Ultimate Lithium. Do you think that would work better?
