Which is the ground - Stereo Headphone Y Splitter Cable

Can you tell me which is the ground?

The following cable when spliced has a red white and yellow wire.
3.5mm Stereo Headphone Y Splitter Cable Mp3 (1 male end and 2 female end

My guess was - yellow is ground when I read this
the red (right channel signal), the white (left channel signal) and the outer wire which is the ground for both channels.

The wire connected to the exposed metal on the socket, or to the part of the plug furthest from the tip is the ground.
