Where to get replacement LCD fro 20" Philips flat TV??

usually the LCD panel will cost as much or more than the price of the entire
unit. But look around. Take the tv apart and look at the part numbers on the
panel, seach the internet.

You can't, the LCD panel itself is the bulk of the cost of the unit and
likely not available separately, if you can find one, it will cost more than
the TV in single quantities.

Well the TV goes here for ?1700.00 and I doubt that the display will cost
that much.

Thanks anyway.

I don't, go ahead and give the manufacture a call and see what they say
though, it's worth a shot. If it's brand new though can't you just return
it?

You can try to call some independent distributors, but they will all go to
the address below to do their enquiries. This type of part is proprietary
to the manufacture and model. http://www.consumer.philips.com/

philips has excellent customer support for parts, and service manuals.

Probably not worth it unless you can manage to salvage a few useful parts
from it, but there really isn't much to these units aside from the LCD panel
and about $30 worth of electronic bits and a molded plastic case. Good luck
anyway.

Sounds like the insurance company got a good deal.
Not much that you can do with it unless you get lucky and find someone with
a good panel and a problem in the electronics. You might try posting
occasionally with the model number in the subject line.

I don't know about your model, but the LCD panel for Philips model 20LCD3517
comes up with a part number of 6304VT2011A at a wholesale cost of almost
$1300 US.
They do, however, show 3 in stock at Philips US.

Good Luck,
Bill Jr

BTW, I fixed a 15" model recently with a bad inverter power board and the
replacement board came in a Goldstar box.
