If it's anything like what I frequently deal with, the college kids working at Bourns to answer your question, were not born when the product was made. For them, if it's not something they can look-up in current product offerings, they have no idea what you're talking about.
(and they were made before companies started putting their data on computers, so they may not have bothered entering data on previous product lines that they no longer support)
Who knows, whomever got your email, may find an old Bourns employee who knows what you're talking about(?)
