2. In which case we often use film capacitor?

One difference is their mechanical characteristics

I use ceramic capacitors in higher frequency applicatons.
There are a lot of different 'film' capacitors anymore. They all have their own price and performance idiosyncrasises.
Did you have a specific application in mind?
