wattage with resistors in series

If I wire 3 2.5ohm 50 watt resistors in sereis the ohms will be 7.5 but what happens to the wattage. Does it add or stay at 50 watts. Was planning on using them for a speaker load when working on a amplifier.

You can add the wattage in this case.

As long as all resistors have the same value and same rated wattage the load will be distributed evenly and thus simple addition is fine

If the wattages were different, or the values were different, then you may have to do a little more math.
