I have this old Viking 85 tape deck and many tapes that I would like to digitize. I have a setup that works with LPs, but doesn't work when the tape deck is attached. Yet the deck will play into my audio receiver. Is there something about the audio output format from the deck that is causing this not to work? The deck has a preamplifier so I don't think signal strength is the problem.
