Video overlay and MCU

Hi!
Are there any IC:s for generating video text that are suitable for MCU
systems? The plan is to show some measured values on the TV.

ZiLOG makes a version of the Z8 for OSD (on screen display).

www.zilog.com should have everything you need to get data on a TV screen.

I use the C51 family and I was looking for a IC with serial in and video
out for OSD. I have found some but they are not in production any more.
