Hi All,
I'm trying to make a large 7 segment display with 4 separate digits. The
display has to be about 5" high, so there will probably be multiple LEDs per
segment (I was goint to use rectangular high effeciency LEDs for the
segments). Alternatively there may be manufacturers of large 7 segment
displays out there. Does anyone have any thoughts on driver chips for
multi-LED segments, or manufacturers of large displays? I have an AVR micro,
so I2C or SPI control would be ideal but any form of interface can be done.
The uC runs at 3.3V but I have a 12V supply available. Power is a
consideration as the whole thing will be powered from a rechargeable lead
acid battery.
Any comments appreciated!
Thanks,
Mark.
