I want to bring my TF700 tablet with me on fishing trips this year to use my Google maps offline and topo maps and camera. Problem is battery run time. So I need an external battery to charge it.
Tf700 tablet needs 12v 1.2-2 amps to charge.
I have a few charged RBC 17 UPS batteries sitting around. 12v 7.5-8 amps battery

I have a spare ebay $5 tf700 charging cable I can hack to get to the black and red leads and a plastic container (with air vents) for the battery.
Reading up on it, people said I don't need to worry about current pull, because the tavblet will take only 1.2-2 amps it needs, but I was thinking of attaching a 2amp fuse just in case. Is that true?
Would this charging system work? Not in the mood to spend $70 for an anker battery pack that would probably be a smaller battery.
