Using 15A 250V power cord instead of 10A 250V

I recently purchased a Led Grow light. The light came with a power cord with a Type B plug. The cable says 10A 250V on it. I live in South Africa and we use a Type M plug. I have another cable form a monitor that says 15A 250V on it, it can also fit into the light.

Info about the Grow light:
Power Factor: >97%
Worldwide Voltage: 85V-265V
Working Frequency: 50~60Hz

Now my question is, can I use the 15A 250V power cable instead of the 10A 250V?
Or must I just go buy an adaptor?

Hello,

You can always use a higher amperage for the cable.
When the amperage would be lower, there might be a problem.

Just to add to what Bertus said, it is right that you also checked the voltage rating is the same or higher.
You can use one that is the same or higher on both voltage and amperage.
