USB Keyboard as HID interface

Hi All

I know a USB keyboard is a HID interface however,,, is there a way to utilise the keyboard to produce I/O signals to the PC without being recognised as an actual Keyboard but as a unspecified HID device.

Ive seen online a video utilising the keyboard as a MIDI controller, however no information as to how this was achieved,

The appeal is because there are 104 keys available and want to utilise aproximately 50keys for re-mapping in Midi for my Mixer project. However being as I already have 1 keyboard used, the pc duplicates the keyboard input.

it basically cannot be press "A" send "A",,, more like a gamepad/joystick function with axis and switches...

please help

thanks

Chris:)
