ups for phone modem

any ideas on what to use to back up one of those cable TV phone modems?
seems like the cable phone guys should have put one on there. What size to
use?

around here they come with a "6" hour battery backup...IMO that's far too
short a time if you have an alarm connected to it. I've been recommending
that the client buy an additional UPS to power it along with their computer.
