Hi,
I'm checking-out an older Uniden EXP-95 cordless phone for
my aunt/uncle, that had the usual dead BT-9000 battery problem.
I do not have the user's manual.
Now, with a good battery fully charged in the handset,
and a good telephone wire to the phone jack (these work),
I'm able to use the page button (it works), and the 'talk' button
does access the phone line. Other buttons appear to work too.
The problem: very very weak audio (dial tone heard very faintly)
from the earpiece, and pressing numbers beeps from
the handset but does not appear to really dial out,
e.g., still hearing a very very faint dial tone.
Anyone aware if there is a 'security code/learn' procedure needed
once the battery goes dead/replaced, to re-learn the handset to
its base ?
(our more recent 2.4G Sanyo cordless has such feature)
....Or is the phone having another defect, in addition to the poor
charging circuit and (old) bad battery ?
Thank you,
Regards,
- Sylvain
