It's a push on connector. I ordered a SMB (found one for less than $5) that has a M on one end and a F on the other so no matter what, if it fits, I should be able to make a cable for it. I figure it's worth a try. It is about half the size of the antenna connector on my Sirius radio antenna (which is also push on). The TV is actually very small. When I got it, it said it could get OTA connect to cable or other video devices, but it did not come with any cables to do so and no documentation. Even a web search for the TV model # was no help.
Like I said, I think it is the same size connector that is inside my laptop that connects the small wifi card to the laptop (internall) but I do not want to crack open my laptop again and that wont tell me what type of connector that is. It will just confirm they are the same size. Are they SMB?
I actually took an RCA video signal and touched it to the center pin and did a quick channel scan and it displayed the video fairly clear on a channel it labeled Input. (paperclip and aligator clip). I also have an old video game that displays on Chan 3 and 4 and I could tune to that as well although it was a little fuzzy. It will tune the old analog OTA channels as well as new digital OTA (this is in the owners manual). It will auto detect straight video signal as well (as INPUT). Getting the RCA and old video game to show up was my proof of concept. If the SMB connector is the same size, I can make an RCA to SMB (or whatever) and finally be able to connect various video sources to this TV. I have a couple uses for it in mind but for now I have to determine this connector type.
Thank you.
