Hi, my HDMI switch died after a loud pop. The 12V 3A power adapter no longer delivered 12V. Replaced it with an identical new power adapter but the PSU must be damaged too as will no longer power up. Before getting the PSU repaired, I wanted to check whether or not the mainboard is damaged. I have zero electronics knowledge. The mainboard took two 4-pin 5V connections from the original PSU. Can I just connect two 5V from some other PSU to test the mainboard? Or are there other considerations?
