I am trying ong to identify what this component is and what it's purpose is on the PCB. I am going to take out the board and replace the component once I properly identify the piece. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Photo too blurry to identify anything but by board marking some kind of capacitor.
What makes you believe it is faulty?
Did you cut it out or did it fall out?
Just repeat what @Bluejets said ... why and better pic
any writing on any other surface ... All I can tell from your blurry pic is that it has a 50V rating

The picture only gives us that the capacitor has a voltage rating of 50 Volts.
As I asked before, is there any text on top of the capacitor, like in the picture below:
Bertus
OK, the 334 tells me te capacitor has a value of 330000 pF = 330 nF = 0.33 μF
The K tells me the tollerance is 10 %.
The 50 Volts on the other side is the maximum working voltage.
Thank you very much for the help. Excuse my ignorance on the subject, but as long as I replace it with a capacitor of the Sam values and tolerance then it should be fine correct??
