Tough dog: P52923 PTK195 turn on is too high contrast then gradually clears up.

Got this RCA projector with this.

Not the typical CRT short or open heater problem. No retraces. Tuner
working properly.

It looked like picture is very faint, normal overall brightness but
contrast is too high. Heaters running properly. While unit is
running for awhile, the picture gradually reappears.

Precussion tests didn't turn up, heating and freezing didn't do this
at all so I'm looking at a tough dog situation. If you have seen one
already and found a solution, speak up pretty please?

Hook up Chipper Check and confirm that the AKB is setup properly before
doing any wasted troubleshooting. A weak gun or inproperly set G2 can cause
a symptom like this on that series AKB setup.

Done, and chipper says on AKB test failed, bias high on red, blue and
green. Tried kicked them all down 8 notches, no luck, put them back
to original settings. No cabient to set up color balance properly.
The alignment doesn't say about setting up with the screen/focus
block.
