tooth speaker! vibrator speaker implant!

Chad

Hi,

I'm looking for a way to make or buy a tooth speaker. If you know
something like that, please email me.

The only thing I don't know is the tiny vibrator that is used as a
speaker implanted in a tooth. Some websites call it as a vibrating
plate that can transmit sound via the jawbone. You can check these
websites to understand what I'm talking about

Thank you.

Unfortunately, it doesn't really work well.
You need quite a large force to make the tooth vibrate, and the
small size of the device means an inherently high cutoff
frequency.
Maybe barely possible for voice, though power will be a serious problem.
Needless to say, upper teeth only.

.....as a dentist's lawyer might say, is that the tooth, and nothing but
the whole tooth?
(only when the computer bytes...)

Do you want the model that wires out the mouth, the nose, or the tear ducts?

Hi,

Don't worry about the wiring problem, the power supply or the implant.
I only have interest in the speaker, the vibrator plate (max at 1cm x
1cm x 1/2cm). It seems that there is no way to make the speaker (to
implant it on either of the two jaws) so it does not make any huge
noises that other people can hear.

Thanks for all responses.

The basic idea is to have a mass, which does not move enough to cause
much noise.
Now, between this mass and the tooth, you place a means of moving the
mass back and forth.
Above some frequency, the mass won't move much, and you'll get a more or
less constant frequency response.
You can't mount it on the lower jaw unless you accept significantly lower
response.
Open mouth.
Now tap on front of lower teeth and then upper.
The lack of decent bone connections attenutes the signal significantly.

It doesn't work very well.
