Toner Transfer Advice

C

Charles Jean

Getting ready to try this, and thought I'd ask for your expericences
in this area. In particular, I'm looking for suggestions on the type
of paper to use. I would rather not use the "blue paper" I've read
about, but something I can get locally at Staples, etc., and is fairly
inexpensive. TIA for any help.

T-Shirt transfer paper? I've heard plain paper works well if you soak the
paper off afterwards.

Ink-jet photo paper. I hear that Staples generic photo paper works
well. Grab a few brands and try them out, it's pretty hit-and-miss,
depending a lot on the toner and other variables. Some people have had
good results with the glossy inserts in the Sunday paper. Take a look
at Yahoo Homebrew_PCB group.

If you have a walmart close by, Try the (JetPrint Photo Everyday). I have
had very nice results using it. Don't get the (JetPrint Photo Multiproject)
as it now has a plasticized coating on the back side that sticks to the
iron. Jtt
