I hope this is the right place to post this - I reckon I figure if you
design it, you might either see it built or even prototype it
yourselves...
I've been loaned a Thomas & Betts 779-3200 press and will be trying to
learn how to make some cables terminating in an IDC connector for
connection to a PCB mounted header. There are lots of accessories,
but no instructions and no suggestions as to where to find out which
plates handle which connector styles (I'm also hoping to find a
connector similar to the Tyco # 641238-6, but shorter so it doesn't
interfere with the enclosure lid...).
Does anyone know if Thomas & Betts is still around or if not, have
access to some instructional materials? Does anyone with this unit
know what accessory(ies) I need to use for the above mentioned
#641238-6 connector?
I had some questions on how to match up an LED by its test data I
posted in sci.electronics.components if anyone wants to take a gander
at it, too <s>?
Thanks in advance!
