Thermistor Temperature Sensor

I have a temperature control that reads one degree lower than the trigger temperature setting and I'm wondering if there is a method to have the sensor adjustable to calibrate it to the control?
If the trigger is set at 15C it doesn't trigger until it reaches 14C.
Does the one meter of wire add significantly to the resistance of the sensor, would adding or removing wire change the resistance to a point where it affects temperature ?

The specs of the controle say "Accuracy: ±1°C (-20°C~70°C)" so your experience is within specs. Unless there is a calibration trimmer accessible, I doubt you will reach higher accuracy with this controller. AS the sensor (NTC) comes with one meter of wire, the resistance of this wire should already be included in the factory calibration.

The wire is not the source of error for a 10K sensor. Even at high temperatures it is around 3K ohms, thousands of times larger than the wire resistance. OTOH, the unit is only +/- 1C accurate, so technically it is within spec. If you don't see a calibration trimpot peeking out anywhere, or don't want to open the unit and search for one, I think you're out of luck.

An interesting note is a feature of the controller is CA:Calibrate temperature reading.Range from -9 to 9.Default:0
For example ,when reading on the controller is 3 degree below real temperature, please set CA= 3.
When reading on the controller is 3 degree above real temperature, please set CA=- 3.

I changed these settings and nothing changed but I will look for a trimpot inside.
What value of trimpot would be expected?
Thanks for the responses.
